At the Catawba Vale Collaborative our approach is different. We believe that equitable public land development can lead to equitable economic development and a healthy and thriving community for all. We facilitate important conversations, re-frame stories, and lead the change by example. We believe everyone is welcome. We share a passion for reducing income and wealth inequality within marginalized-rural communities. Our programs distinguish us from other community focused organizations because we strive for mastery of four remarkable capabilities:

Our Work
Based in Old Fort NC, the CVC is helping to revitalize our small town for the 21st century in a way that honors its rich history and builds economic equality is something we are all passionate about.
Our work is comprehensive because communities are complex. Residents need places to recreate but they also need good housing, good jobs, educational opportunities, and pathways to build wealth. The CVC is engaged helps to connect and coordinate each of these threads of rural community development.
